David Maples is a writer for television. He began his career working on the cartoon Rugrats in 1997, before leaving to work on the sitcom Home Improvement during its final seasons.[1] He joined the writing staff of Teacher's Pet a couple of years later, writing six episodes. In 2004, he served as a producer on Huff, which had a short run.[1] Four years later, he created the drama series In Plain Sight, which ran for four years, ending in 2012.[1]
Maples has also acted in small roles, playing the Beefeater in the Teacher's Pet movie[2] and a cop in the first episode of In Plain Sight.
