The Grass Seed is Always Greener... is the seventh episode from Season 2 and is the twentieth episode of Teacher's Pet overall. It was directed by Timothy Björklund and written by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner.

Plot[]

Pretty Boy is saddled with PMS (Pre Migrational Syndrome), a syndrome that only occurs once a year, in the fall: when birds begin to feel like migrating down south for the winter. When he leaves the house, and begins migrating with another bird, named Free Bird, who is a cool cat. Leonard and Scott go out to look for Pretty Boy while Mr. Jolly vows he will never eat again until "Pretty Boy is restored to his cage once more."

  • PMS also stands for Premenstrual Syndrome.
  • This is the third episode where Pretty Boy leaves the house. Additionally, it’s the only time he leaves the house by himself.
  • This is the first episode not to focus on Leonard and Scott in school, which is lampshaded in one of the scenes.
  • Moral: The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence, but there’s no place like home.
