The Tale of the Telltale Taffy is the fourth episode from Season 2 and is the seventeenth episode of Teacher's Pet overall. This episode was directed by Alfred Gimeno (his first directing credit for the series) and written by David Maples.
Plot[]
Scott convinces Leonard to go across the street to get candy since their street is only offering fruits and vegetables, but both of them start to feel guilty since Leonard had promised to his mom previously that he wouldn't go across the street.
Meanwhile, after Leonard takes in a stray black cat from out of the rain, Mr. Jolly and Pretty Boy suspect that the stray black cat is a vampire after noticing his supposedly evil and supernatural behavior.

- The main plot of the episode is a loose adaption of Edgar Allan Poe's well-known story, The Telltale Heart.
- This is one of the few episodes not to feature the school.
- Moral: Don't let your peers force you into doing something wrong and understand your parent’s restrictions.
- Pretty Boy and Mr. Jolly’s lesson was to not take in any borders and check their references.
- This is also similar to PB&J Otter episode "The Tell-Tale Candy Wrapper". Both shows talk about eating candy that is forbidden and hiding the truth.
